A short walk from the Cabo Espichel lighthouse is a few abandoned buildings. On Google Maps, this is marked as 'Ponto de Observaçao' or Observation point, Not sure what the purpose of these structures, and surprisingly, there are still machines in the main room of this building.
On a beach, near Tavira, Portugal, lies a 'graveyard' of anchors, a memorial to a long-gone tuna fishing industry, destroyed by their own success and overfishing. A sombre reminder of our precious world.
